Superlatives can't do Yosemite justice, though many have tried. John Muir was probably the most prosaic and famous of them. Unfortunately for us the Fed kept the park officially closed, so there was no stopping to take photos or go for a walk, all we could do was drive through, although we still got to see a fair bit as you can see below.
