Bodie

Spent the night at Lee Vining after traversing the Sierra Range via Tioga Pass.  Explored Mono Lake, a high altitude saline lake teaming with brine shrimp, then went off to the gold mining ghost town of Bodie, a weirdly haunting but fascinating place from the gold rush days, which in its hey day boasted up to 10,000 people and a murder a week.
